Death records can be crucial to solving brick walls. Discover what clues are hidden in them and how to find them online and in repositories. This presentation will discuss how to find clues in the death records and how to use these clues to find more records. Special focus will include discussion on interment records and determining unknown burial locations. Tips will also be given on finding online tombstone photos.  Examples will be shown using databases on FamilySearch, Ancestry.com, My Heritage, Find My Past; books from website such as Internet Archive, Google, American Ancestors, Hathitrust; and records found in local collections from state archives, city records, and genealogical societies.

The DuPage County Genealogical Society is an incorporated, 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our focus is on providing education for genealogists and assisting in preserving and making available local records of genealogical interest. Our mailing address is P. O. Box 3, Wheaton, IL, 60187.
