After realizing that ALL the records genealogists use were not created for our use, it is also clear that many of the records we wish had been made were not made. Handling Indirect Evidence is how documents with partial information are connected, sequenced, parsed and combined with experience to offer a useful hypothesis to build toward a solution or another hypothesis.

The DuPage County Genealogical Society is an incorporated, 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our focus is on providing education for genealogists and assisting in preserving and making available local records of genealogical interest. Our mailing address is P. O. Box 3, Wheaton, IL, 60187.
